Families are forever

I can't imagine anything worse than losing a child. My heart goes out to Ashley and Daryl. Little Jace was born sept. 4th and passed away from a rare lung condition on sunday.

Most of you know Daryl and Ashley Larsen. For those of you who don't, they are a young couple here in Perry, who just lost their baby to a rare lung disorder. Their loss is truly a tragedy. They are now experiencing the beginnings of what will be a land slide of medical bills. In an effort to aide them, there will be a one day fundraiser at the Maddox Steak House. On November 5, you can call Maddox at 723-2916 and order the Turkey Steak dinner. You can choose the 2 or 4 family meal at the regular price. All proceeds will then be donated to the Larsen family. You do need to remember to mention the Larsen family name when ordering. You can then pick up your meal at the take out window in the back of Maddox. It will be for lunch and dinner. Please spread the word. Feel free to copy and paste this post on your blog .

That's really sad Cookie. I couldn't imagine losing a child. Let alone then having to grieve and pay back medical bills. That is one good thing about Canada. I don't know how your banks work in the states, but they could also set up a fund at a local bank where anyone can contribute anything they want. That might help too.

Yes, thank you for posting this. There have been so many prayers and tears. It will be a pleasure to help with finances, with or without the delicious meal from such a wonderful restaurant. Oh, how little Jace found a place in our hearts so quickly. He's been a blessing for sure.

I don't even want to think about losing my baby boy; I don't think I could handle it. My heart goes out to your friends and I wish I lived by to partake of the feeding/fundraiser. I hope it helps.
