Fall fun

Like everyone we had a busy fall and it would take forever to catch up so here are a few of the things we did in September and October. In October my parents took us up to Logan for a weekend. We got a hotel and just relaxed. It was great. We took the girls swimming which they loved. On saturday we met the Lewis family at the North Logan pumpkin walk. It was so fun and not as cold as we were expecting which was a plus. I think we decided we need to do the pumpkin walk every year.

I got stuck with Yoda.

Typical saturday morning.

Like most kids Olivia and Mya love the park. My parents have a great one up the road from their house. It will be more fun this summer now that Mya can walk.

When I get a quiet moment, which are far and few between, this is how I like to spend some of my time.

This not so little guy has lived by one of the upstairs windows for the past 2 years or so. If you've seen our house its a long way up to the window he made his home so we never made the effort to get him down. Jason decided on day it was time for the spider to go so he made the climb up and got him down. As you can see its huge! I felt really bad about killing it since hes never caused any problems so I went inside while the deed was done.

Jason's parents bought some land up Spanish Fork Canyon last winter so we spent a lot of time up there during the summer. Theres water and power so they parked the trailer up there so when we went up we had all the comforts of home. The best way to camp with little ones! I usually forgot the camera but here are a few pictures from the last time we went up. On one of our drives we found this tree and of course Jason had to hang on it.

On our way up we stopped to get some donuts and boy did we enjoy them!

Growing up way too fast

No matter how hard I try to keep Olivia from growing up she still thinks she needs to. She turned 3 in September and decided she wanted to have a princess party. All of her girl friends dressed up for the occasion. The boys did not. Big surprise. She wanted a princess cake so I started looking around for one because I am not skilled in making cakes. The cheapest one I could find was at least $20. I decided I would rather make the cake myself and spend the $20 on her. Plus it was for a bunch of 3 year olds. They don't care what it looks like as long as it has lots of frosting, and boy did it!! We played games, had a little lunch, opened presents, but the best part was making Rosie and Brittany dress up and do make-up and face painting! Congrats to Rosie for still fitting into her old prom dress!! All in all it was a great day, even if Olivia did get a little older.

Family pictures

In september Rosie was nice enough to do our family pictures. What a workout!! Who would have thought getting 2 little girls to smile could be so hard. I was pretty sure none of them turned out, but was thrilled when I saw we got some pretty cute ones. Thanks Rosie you're the best sister a girl could ask for!

Turned 30 and ran a half marathon.

On august 17th Jason turned 30!! In May he realized he was going to be 30 and started to freak out. He decided that running a half marathon would be a good way to celebrate. You would think that would mean he started to train everyday right. Nope, he ran a few times a week about 4 miles each time. I think his longest training run was 7ish miles. So the day of the big run I was secretly a bit scared for him. He went super early with his brother Shane and sister in-law Brenda. I packed the girls up a few hours later to wait by the finish line. Here they are patiently waiting for daddy to run by.

Olivia kept asking,"when is daddy coming?". I kept saying,"well it might be awhile.". Brenda had run a half a few months before and finished in just over 2 hours, so I figured with little training Jason would come in after that. To my surprise I looked up just in time to see him round the corner towards the finish line. He finished in 1 hour and 48 minutes!!!! Not only had he finished, but he did amazing! He came in before Shane and Brenda which I know he loved. I am so proud of him and still a little annoyed that he did so awesome with hardly training.

Busy summer

Like everyone we have been enjoying our very busy very fun summer. Here are a few updated pictures of the girls. Mostly of Mya, but heres cute olivia hanging out with her baby Tina.

Check out those baby blues.

Our little Mya is growing up way too fast. She will be 7 months old tomorrow. She is so sweet and we love her so much. Her and Olivia have so much fun together and she thinks Olivia can do no wrong. She has figured out that food is yummy and loves to eat. She can't crawl yet but its coming soon. She has figured out how to scoot backwards.

Olivia got her face and fingernails painted by some cheerleaders at Cedar Hills days. Notice the cute hair clip we got from Rachel Gunnell who just happened to have her booth there too.

We love to get the kiddie pools out. Olivia has a bigger one, but this one is perfect Mya size. The water must have been cold cause she wouldn't put her legs down.
